Chair: Harry Moyle
joined Caladenia in 1996 as Treasurer. In 2008 he was
elected Chair of the Board of Directors. He is a member of the
Company's Governance Committee and the Finance Committee. His
qualifications include a Diploma of Agriculture, a Bachelor of
Business (Accounting) and a Diploma of Financial Planning. Harry
is a self employed Accountant and Financial Planner. He is a
Professional Member of the National Institute of Accountants and a
Certified Financial Planner Member of the Financial Planning
Association. Previous employment history includes National
Service as an Infantry Platoon Commander, sales and marketing
positions with Bunge (Australia) Pty Ltd and as Assistant
Administrator of Yarra Valley Grammar School. Harry is married to
Jenny and they live in Balwyn, have two adult children and two
grand-children and he enjoys gardening for relaxation.
Lynn Reddaway joined
the Board in 2002. Lynn was born in Ormond; attended
Kilvington and McKinnon
High. After Matriculation she did her nursing at the Royal
Children's Hospital
and nursed part-time for the next twenty years. Lynn was a
volunteer for 5 years
in the past at Caladenia and was more than happy to come back
as a Board
member where her volunteer days and nursing background
provide valuable input.
Lynn is involved with keeping the farm running, supports the local
football club
and enjoys meeting with her nursing friends when she can hear
the latest in the
aged care sector.
George Hume was born in
Edinburgh, Scotland. He lived and was educated in Linlithgow
where he served
apprenticeship as a Painter and Decorator. He came to Australia
in 1968. In 1993
the Mooroolbark Bowls Club was approached by Caladenia
Board member, Mrs
Gloria Churchland, to assist Caladenia to raise funds by running a
benefit
tournament. George became involved with this successful event
and offered to
continue it annually. In 1994 he was invited to join the Board
and was
President from 1995 to 2006. George is a keen bowler and was
voluntary Administration
Director of the Mooroolbark Bowls Club until 2007.
Ian Pollock joined the Board in July 2011. He was born
in Castlemaine, Victoria and moved to Mount Evelyn in 1952 and then to
Lilydale in 1954. He attended school locally and started his working career
in Local Government at the Melbourne City Council.
After a series of career
changes he became General Manager of a Toyota Dealership in Melton.
In 1980 he purchased the Healesville Toyota Dealership, from which he
retired in 2006. He now lives in Lilydale.
Ian has been a member of Rotary for thirty years and has been the Rotary
President at both Healesville and Chirnside Park, as well as President of the
Healesville Tennis Club and the Healesville Chamber of Commerce.
He is also a passionate Geelong supporter.
Manager: Sarah Yeates joined the Staff
team at
Caladenia in May 2001. Sarah has worked in HACC funded day
centres since 1991,
and has experience in both activity programming, and
management. Sarah and the
team received a Shire of Yarra Ranges Australia Day Award in
2007, and in 2008
Sarah was nominated for the Alcoa Foundation Outstanding
Community Worker Award.

Deputy Chair: Dr Hamish Russell PhD (Mich State), MAgrSc (UMelb),
MAICD joined the Board in 2005. He was a Senior Executive in the Victorian
Public Service before joining the staff of RMIT University. He is
now retired and lives in Emerald. He was Chairman of the Board of
Lilydale Community Hospital, a Director of Ranges
Community Health and a member of the Community Advisory Group for
the Yarra Ranges Health super clinic. He was made Citizen of the Year for the
Shire of Yarra Ranges in 2005, and is currently Chairperson of the
Shire of Yarra Ranges Health and Wellbeing Advisory Committee. He and his wife
Rosemary have three adult children and are both involved in
numerous community groups. Hamish is also a successful breeder, exhibitor
and judge of ducks and geese.
John Hale
joined the Board in October 2007. He was born in
Sunshine and worked as an engineer with ICI (Orica) for 9 years
then with
Spotless for 31 years as Executive General Manager.Having
recently retired from
fulltime corporate work John was able to accept the invitation by
President Lynn
Reddaway to join the Board in October 2007. John has served
on many boards,
currently an emeritus councillor of Australian Industry Group and
director of
Taralye Foundation. He served six years as a Director of the Western
Bulldogs Football
Club. His community interests are attending art classes; attending
gym, personal
mentoring of ex-employees, MCC Member, sport and of course his
grandchildren.
Peter Stewart
joined the Board in 2009. A builder by trade, he has spent more than thirty
years building and renovating houses and shops across Melbourne. Peter was
one of the first tradesmen to become involved in the renovation of Meadowbank
House, which subsequently became Caladenia's home. Together with a group of
friends in a range of other trades, he worked to restore the old house, build
the gazebo and establish a garden. Peter's hobbies include Porsche cars and
road bikes. He lives in Mooroolbark with his partner Fiona and seven year old
son Jack.
Pauline Goldstraw was
born and educated in Cambridge, UK and trained as a Paediatric
Nurse and Registered Nurse in London and Cambridge.
Pauline spent nine years nursing in the UK and Africa prior to coming
to Australia in 1975 to work at the Royal Children's Hospital.
From 1983 to 1996 she worked in Aged Care and was the
Volunteer Coordinator at the Cancer Council of Victoria for four years. She
continues to support Daffodil Day for the Cancer Council.
Pauline enjoys being with her two adult children, volunteering at the
information centre in Healesville, gardening and sewing.
Jo Priest joined the Board in 2011. Jo’s early
background is Early Childhood Education/Nursing but in 1991 she moved into
administration.
Bringing with her diverse experience drawn from Government
and Corporate background, Jo's qualifications include a Postgraduate degree
in Business Management, Governance Practice & Administration, Marketing and PR,
and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education.
Jo is currently Company Secretary
for MEGT, an apprenticeship and training company. She is a Board director
at Outer Eastern Local Learning & Employment Network (OELLEN) and
Committee Member (Policy & Curriculum) at Mount Lilydale Mercy College.
Jo lives in Mooroolbark with her husband and two teenage daughters.
